Current Consultation by the New Zealand Teachers Council
The New Zealand Teachers Council is responsible for developing policies which cover all aspects of teacher registration and other professional leadership activities of the NZ Teachers Council.
All policies are developed with the underlying objective of contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of the quality of teachers and teaching. This will in turn contribute to improving the educational experiences of all children and young people in Aotearoa New Zealand. In order to achieve rigour and teacher sector input into these policies, the New Zealand Teachers Council is committed to consultation to inform the research and development of any new policy.
